This great blue heron was extremely busy transporting nest material to his mate in the top of this loblolly pine.
I saw this eagle coming in the distance from over the river.
Based on plumage and beak color this eagle is probably just over three years old.
A great blue heron heads back to the nest.
A juvenile eagle keeps watch high in a loblolly pine. I initially thought this might be a red-shouldered hawk.
